As women, we often have hopes and dreams from a young age about the kinds of families we'll create and how we might get there. When things don't go according to plan, it can cause considerable stress, anxiety, and depression, and interfere with our very ability to connect to our partners and others we love.
I have a passion for supporting and working with women whose paths to motherhood may be more challenging due to:
- Birth trauma
- Premature birth and NICU stays
- Anxiety and/or depression during pregnancy
- Postpartum anxiety
- Postpartum depression
I use EMDR to help women (and their partners) heal from pregnancy-related trauma and a more skills-based, interpersonal approach with those struggling with perinatal and postpartum depression and anxiety.
